3 Easy Tips to Rock a Healthy Glow All Winter!

We all have that one friend or family member who always come around with dry, ashy skin and is totally unbothered. That is one of my biggest pet peeves people! I know it gets tougher in the winter to keep your skin moisturized, but it really doesn't take much effort. Try these 3 tips to stay moisturized and GLOW this winter:

1. STAY HYDRATED!  Drink more water, eat more fruits and veggies with high water content, and cut back on the coffee and soda.  Now I'm not saying to ditch your coffee! Just know that if you are already dehydrated, adding coffee or soda to the mix will only make things worse.  Staying hydrated is essential to getting and keeping your glow all year long!

2. USE HEAVIER MOISTURIZERS! Bath oils perform wonderfully for me in the warmer months, but the winter is much different.  As the temps cool I trade the oils for heavier body butters.  Layering oils on top of the butters works wonders for drier skin as well.

3. EXFOLIATE! There's no way your skin's going to reach it's optimal glow if you aren't exfoliating; it's that simple.  Exfoliating helps remove excess dead skin cells to reveal new layers of skin.  In the process, you are also helping scars fade, improving the texture of your skin and increasing collagen production.  Proper exfoliation also helps your skin absorb moisturizer better.
